Kids, No Chaser

Happy Halloween!

Monday, October 31, 2005 posted by Cindy

Conor's riding the high seas of rice cereal these days. I guess it finally hit me that this kid needs food. Yesterday I was eating an apple in front of him and he was so mad! It was like, how dare you! But I really think this stuff does constipate him. Today there was lots of puffed cheeks and red face with little output.

We must have it pretty easy cuz Claudia gives him rice cereal with applesauce and me, the meanie parent, gives it to him plain. He seems to not care.

Interest starts to wane as we devour our chinese leftovers.

Much anticipation for Halloween. HK was adamant that Conor not be a pea in the pod or anything else too cutsey. So we settled on this octopus costume. (which is ironically quite cute) It was great to see Briana as the pea though. Did not know that the peas are detachable! Claudia invited us to her family's Halloween party which included lots of pozole and tostadas, 2 pinatas and a horde of candy-seeking kids. Naturally when I said, lots of people came! she said, oh, not everyone could make it. (you'd get it if you saw "fools rush in")

"Briana, seriously, I need my cell phone back."

sweet halloween dreams even for tentacled creatures

Conor's first real photo shoot! I had been reading about Amy Perl
and really liked her photos so we booked a session at a local kids store where she was doing a photo event. Can't wait to get the proofs!

A natural in front of the lens.

Of course we need to get as much mileage out of this costume as humanly possible. (Speaking of which, I saw other babystyle costumes on sale for $5 on Saturday! was hard not to pick up a few)

Tentacles are like training wheels for sitting! I've never seen him sit this well!

How in the world did you fit him in his carseat with that costume on? That makes me laugh! Can't wait to see his portraits... you're tempting me to invest in a sitting for Caden now...

Stacie, I didn't think I could fit him in there either! But once he fell asleep at the party, I figured I had to try it. I know, aren't her portraits great? You guys should do the golden gate/beachy/jcrew-khaki's shoot! hee hee!
